In our final episode on Philippians, we focus on 4:10 – 23. We discuss what made the Philippians so unique and special to Paul, the “secret” of contentment and the importance of giving.

In Philippians 3:17-4:9, Paul gives the Philippians 8 different ways to have a joy that endures.

Philippians 3:1 contains one of the theme phrases of the entire letter: Rejoice in the Lord.

Chapter 2 of Philippians closes with Paul discussing his plans for the near future. Within those plans, we get a glimpse into two of the men that Paul was honored to call “fellow workers”: Timothy and Epaphroditus.

In this episode we finish up Paul’s instruction on how to complete his joy (which he began back in 1:27). In Philippians 2:12-18, Paul instructs the Philippians to “work out their own salvation” by stopping their grumbling, living blameless lives, and holding forth the word of life through evangelism.

Our text for this episode (Phil. 2:1-11) contains some of the deepest content in the entire New Testament.

“Life is 10% circumstance and 90% attitude.” The apostle Paul serves as a near-perfect example of the old adage.
