World Wide Lectureship

The first ever World Wide Lectureship is now underway. I'm grateful that the Avondale Church of Christ in Decatur, GA, has realized the potential of the Internet to reach people with the gospel and has invested in this work.

Jonathan Jenkins, who serves as the director of WWL, is the man who gave us Digital Bible Study, a popular website that streams hundreds of gospel sermons on all matters of biblical truth. Jonathan's leadership in this area has produced a week-long lectureship full of great sermons for the world to hear.

A schedule for the lectureship in Central Standard Time is available in PDF format. To watch the lectures, go to www.worldwidelectureship.com. There you can log on to a chat room where questions and comments are made during the lessons. This is an example of how the Internet can change the way we participate in sermons. At the close of every lesson, a moderator will take some of the comments and questions posed in the chat room and ask the speaker to make comments.

Incidentally, I'm speaking this evening at 7:00 p.m. (CST). My topic is "Christ Died for Our Sins According to the Scriptures." Tune in if you can.
