Roe's Woes

Brad Harrub writes about his interview with Norma McCorvey, better known as "Jane Roe," in this month's issue of Reason & Revelation. McCorvey, who after Roe v. Wade was known as "the woman who made abortion legal," revealed to Harrub that she never received an abortion or even entered a courtroom during the benchmark Supreme Court case! Explaning why she met with attorneys and signed the affidavit that put her name (or pseudonym to be exact) at the center of the abortion controversy, she said, "I just came for the pizza and beer."

Today McCorvey is a pro-life advocate. In fact, in 2003 she tried to reopen her thirty-year-old case, but the Supreme Court ruled that too much time had transpired.
