Your Sin Will Find You Out
OPENING THOUGHT
Why do we try to hide our mistakes? Is this tendency good for us? Is it even possible?
THE READING (Num.32:1-32)
Numbers 26-36 shifts the emphasis of the book from the disbelief and doom of the first generation in the wilderness to the faith and hope of their children who would inherit the Promised Land. Under Moses, the people had already won a number of battles beyond the Jordan, east of Canaan. Two of the tribes, Reuben and Gad, found that area to be an attractive location for settlement and requested permission from Moses to make homes there.
